What is sustainability and how are we doing our bit?
Sustainability consists of fulfilling the needs of current generations without compromising the needs of future generations, while ensuring a balance between economic growth, environmental care, and social well-being.
In short, it’s the small changes that we can make to help look after the planet.
As a product-based brand, sustainability can be a very complex issue. From the ingredients used, to packaging and to how it is sourced, it all plays a role in the end result.
We at Mr Hux® are making it our mission to do our best to ensure that every part of our product, our packaging and the ingredients used are as environmentally friendly as possible. We do this by ensuring they are either recyclable, reusable or compostable. We proudly are and always will be an animal cruelty free brand.
Staggering statistics show that approximately 75 million tonnes of solid waste are generated by Australians each year. Only 67 million tonnes are recycled, and 130,000 tonnes of plastics end up in Australian waterways and oceans.
Waste debris is ingested by more than 50% of turtles and 90% of the world’s seabirds (increasing to 99% by 2050).
We all need to do our bit to protect and preserve this beautiful world of ours. To ensure this world is here for generations to come.
